“Know what you want in your life” – Yang Wang
Our guest today was born in Kunming, Yunnan Province, China, He started practice dancing since early childhood and began his professional dance training at China People’s Liberation Army Arts Institute (PLAI) Dance Academy from 1988.
He graduated and became a lead dancer at No. 2 Artillery Art Troupe of China People’s Liberation Army. In 1997, he joined Beijing Modern Dance Ensemble and was invited to perform in a dance drama by Adelaide City Arts Academy in Australia. In 2000, he joined Ms Jin Xing as her co-dancer and assistant to establish Jin Xing Contemporary Dance Ensemble in Shanghai. Inn 2001, Yang was invited to join the Ballet Du Nord in France and eventually moved to Aix-en-Provence to work with the Ballet Preljocaj.
Yang embarked on his career as a photographer from 2006. Since then he has produced several photo books and photo exhibitions. He started fashion photography in 2011 and has ever since been working with GQ, Vogue and ElleMen in China. Welcome to our program, Yang Wang!
