Processes are tools

Many hand craft tools

Too many change initiatives focus on the process of change. Specific outcomes are linked to specific processes.
In so many cases, a lot of attention will be spent on supervising the process rather than trying to find out how the process can serve team members to grow.

Of course you need a processes, but they are exchangeable – or at least they should be. Because a process is nothing more than a shared language. And knowing all the words doesn’t make you an eloquent author nor will “the process” produce a coherent story that your audience will appreciate.
